This months male and female athletes of the month are Nick Adjei and Nicole Banzuelo!

When asked about Nick, Coach Choates said, "Nick had 131 yards and 3 touchdowns in our win against Park View High School.  He has been an outstanding leader for our team on and off the field.  Nick maintains a high GPA and participates in other activities during the season.  We are proud to have him as a member of our team. With his help we have started the season 1-0 for the first time and many years. "

When asked about Nicole, Coach Planakis said, "Junior Nicole Banzuelo has been the rock of the Lewis Field Hockey team this season. Wearing number 99, Nicole holds it down as the goalie for the Lancers. Twice in the past five games she has had 17 saves each, and another game she prevented any goals to help her team to a 1-0 win over Rock Ridge which was the first varsity field hockey win since 2018."
